Make the Chelan Valley your favorite winter fun destination. With over 300 days of sunshine, the Chelan Valley is a favorite among winter sports enthusiasts.

Downhill Skiing, Snowboarding & Tubing:

Just seven miles from downtown Chelan, Echo Valley Ski & Tubing Area is a great family destination. Beginners through expert skiers enjoy uncrowded slopes, low prices and outstanding snow conditions. Located at 2,500 feet in elevation, this area features three rope tows and a surface Poma Lift. Enjoy the cozy fireplace, lodge and eatery while viewing the slopes. Rental equipment is available on-site at Lakeland Ski Shop.

Prices: Daily lift ticket: $20/day (tubing hill included). Tubing only: $8/day(includes tube). Open Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 10am-4pm. Sno-Park permit not required in ski area parking lot.

Mission Ridge 509-663-6543

Mission Ridge is 51 miles from Chelan (approximately 75 minutes), and has more than 36 designated runs spread over 2,000 acres of terrain. It also has 66 acres of snowmaking, more than any other area in the state. Enjoy a high speed quad ride to the top. No other ski area in Washington receives as much acclaim for the quality of its snow as Mission Ridge. The combination of dry snow and  300 days of sunshine annually makes Mission Ridge well known throughout the Northwest.

Nordic Skiing: Echo Ridge is a hidden Nordic gem. The terrain fits every taste and skill level. Enjoy beautiful vistas, dependable snow and no crowds.  Ski above the clouds and enjoy the frequent sunshine. Echo Ridge offers 21 miles (33k) of groomed cross-country skiing. It's just 15 miles/30 minutes from downtown Chelan and Manson, 2 miles past Echo Valley Ski & Tubing Area. A drop box for daily fees of $10 is located near the reader board.  Ages 17 and younger are free.  Season passes ($70) are available at The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, the USFS Chelan Ranger Office and Chelan Rentals Resort at Echo Valley. Not accepted:  Northwest Forest, Golden Age, or Sno-Park Passes.

Snowmobiling:

Lake Chelan has been rated the # 1 riding area in Washington State by SnoWest Magazine. There are three snow parks in the Lake Chelan Valley: Echo Valley (30 spots), Antilon Lake (75 spots), and 25 Mile Creek (35 spots). Trail maps and grooming reports are available.  Snowmobilers agree that the spectacular scenery makes the Chelan area ideal.  The 170 miles of well-marked, groomed trails and excellent snow conditions bring people back every year.  Snow Park Permits Required.  There are three additional snow parks which access the trail system from the Methow and Entiat Valley's.  With trails and meadows for the novice, and hills and boon docking for more advanced riders, Lake Chelan has snowmobiling needs covered.
